Presentation about "Study at University of Warwick" organized by KPCS

On 25th October 2010, Kalamoon Placement and Careers Services center (KPCS) at the University of Kalamoon organized a visit and presentation by Mr. Charlie Szybiak; Director of recruitment and scholarships at the University of Warwick to and give a presentation on post graduate study and funding at Warwick and the new scholarships and bursaries for Syrian students.


The University of Warwick is a top ranked UK university (No. 3 Guardian Newspaper 2011) and it has a variety of MSc programs in all fields (Medicine, Dentistry, Ph

armacy, Engineering, Management and IR).


The schedule of their visit started by a meeting between Mr. Szybiak and the UOK president and vice president to discuss potential collaboration in the near future between the two universities then they moved to deliver their presentation to UOK students.


The presentation started with a panoramic view about the University of Warwick and its programmes in general; then Mr. Szybiak gave an overview about WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group) and the Master programmes offered there (Focusing on Business and Engineering studies).


Dr. Sada Daoud (the local representative of University of Warwick) were there to help the Syrian students especially UOK students in their applications and inquiries to be able to apply for post graduate study at University of Warwick.


After the presentation, there was an open speech between Mr. Szybiak and students to answer their questions regarding pursuing their study at the University of Warwick.


The visit was ended by a tour at the campus of the University of Kalamoon.

First Career Day at the First Syrian Private University

On 10th April 2010, Kalamoon Placement and Career Services center (KPCS) at the University of Kalamoon in co-operation with the Syrian Business Council (SBC) organized the first Career Day at all the Syrian Universities.


Through which we were trying to deliver our social message by building highly qualified human capital for the country, reducing the number of unemployment and thus helping the Syrian economy.


More than 20 companies (the most important leading companies in Syria) participated in this event; with more than 400 students with different majors from all faculties applied for Job/Internship opportunities.


That was evaluated by the participated companies as a very good event and should be enhanced by the Syrian lab market.

  • On campus recruitment
  • Internship opportunities
  • Job offers
  • Delivering workshops about career skills development, career counseling and the job market needs
